Brandon Mullins, Knight Commander of Zerubbabel

Today, just before we stepped off to march in the Detroit St. Patrick's Day Parade, I was proud to present the Knight Commander of Zerubbabel to Cousin Brandon Mullins, PEC of Trinity Council #36. His written nomination was as follows:

Whereas, Cousin Brandon Barry Mullins has increased the visibility of our not only Knight Masonry, but Freemasonry as a whole by his involving us in the Detroit St. Patrick’s Day Parade, devoting great energies to the effort, and associating the council with the United Irish Societies organization for the past 5 years, and represented us at public functions and events even before being installed Excellent Chief.

Whereas, Brandon has taken great pains over his entire tenure of membership to add value to our member experience by organizing, promoting, and coordinating numerous events outside of quarterly meetings and outside of traditional custom of our Council, including but not limited to the Trinity day Festive Board, Post Parade Festive Board, UIS ball, UIS brick laying ceremony, and Tigers Game and ensured our Council is widely promoted at these events.

Whereas, Brandon has introduced educational discussion about our Order into our meetings and caused the ritual lectures to be read after each degree and thereby ensuring our Cousins receive more light in Masonry.

Whereas he has ensured the Irish degrees are exemplified and conferred in full form, with lectures, on those invited to join our Council so that all can experience and learn from the lessons of Knight Masonry.

Whereas he has begun the process of upgrading our armory and supplies to include true and authentic Knight Masons swords, new ceremonial sword, regalia and greater quality and new veil stands for the degree work.

Whereas he has maintained our Facebook page and website and sends regular emails and calls to ensure Cousins near and far are informed of the Trinity Council’s good works and have ample opportunity to join in fellowship and enlightenment of Irish Masonry.

Whereas Brandon Mullins has served the York Rite well as Junior Warden of Myrtle Lodge #89 F&AM, Past High Priest of Washtenaw Chapter #6, Past Thrice Illustrious Master of Ann Arbor Council #86, Past Commander of Ann Arbor Commandery #13, Sovereign Master of Ionic Council #251 AMD, Past Battalion Commander of the Southeastern Battalion, many times an officer in Southern Michigan York Rite College, a member of the Royal Order of Scotland, a member of Lake Huron Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners, Ontario, and in 2017-2018 as Excellent Chief of Trinity Council #36, Knight Masons.

Finally, here be it resolved, for the above reasons specifically, and many more generally that we the undersigned (signature page attached) Past Excellent Chiefs of Trinity Council #36, nominate Cousin Brandon Barry Mullins, Excellent Chief, to be the very first to be invested with the Knight Commander of Zerubbabel in our Council and state jurisdiction and pray for a favourable result and your deepest consideration.
